Professional Development is defined as a growth-promoting, learning process that empowers employed educators to further excellence in education. Do you need money to help you pay for the workshops, courses or seminars that you wish to take? These awards are available to all employed educators who meet the stated criteria. The application process is competitive.

 

Awards (money) given to individual educators assists their participation in professional development opportunities through approved professional development providers such as colleges, universities, and professional organizations other than The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.

 

The most recent awards, made in September 2010, went to 10 educators who were awarded Cornetet Individual Awards for Professional Development totaling approximately $8170.00.

Lecture series

National certification

Online courses

Workshops and other non-degree programs

The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International offers up to 30 scholarships annually to 
members of the Society to enhance the fulfillment of its fifth purpose, "To endow 
scholarships to aid outstanding women educators in pursuing graduate study…." Awards 
are made for the period beginning July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012

30 Scholarships are offered annually to members pursuing a second masters or a doctorate. Application are due February first of each year.
